Yellow Walleye ?

    I had a friend of mine send this to me..

    Mentions that it was caught up on Rainy Lake by International Falls..

    Is it a yellow walleye ? and have any of you seen one before ?

    I don’t know if a ‘yellow’ walleye is a real thing or not. I have seen many walleye’s that color up in Quetico. It might have something to do with the habitat that the fish spends most of its time in. Just because it was caught with the other ‘non-yellow’ fish, doesn’t mean that is where the fish spends most of its time.

    Dave, I’ve got your answer.

    That fish was a young fingerling hanging out near the Brule Narrows on the day I received my Fisherman’s name. He’s been yellow like that ever since.

    In north Ontario they are all bright yellow like that one.
