Had a great time up by Grand Rapids this weekend, hunting grouse a bit and just hanging out with a buddy at his cabin. There’s a limit to how many miles…er yards a 6 year old is willing to walk, but we put a few grouse in the air in front of my 9 year old Isaac. No shots fired for him, but he’s got a good idea how to play the game next year.

Also got back on the stage after about a nine year hiatus at a small bar in Deer Creek, MN. I was rusty, but it was plenty of fun playing with a good friend who does it professionally. All in all a great weekend!

Looks like a great trip! Hard to believe your boys are already old enough to get out hunting with dad… Man they sure grow up fast.
