    It isn’t like 1996, but a pre Halloween mini blizzard just ripped through Ely!

    We drove through some wet, sloppy snow tonight on the way back down the north shore. Felt good to be towing back through the snow knowing we got in on a fun bite and off the water in just the nick of time.

    I know you like lake trout Ben so here’s a preview pic. Pat McSharry is the lucky guy in this one with a 41 inch laker caught with snow squalls bearing down on us. We got into a heck of a run of fish in the 39 to almost 43 inches. I’ll post up a report ASAP… winter’s on its way!

    Could you imagine bringing that up on 10-20 lb test through the ice? What a fish! Can’t wait to check out the report.

    We have a few flakes flying in the winnebago area very windy out!!!! Come on winter!!!!!! )
