MN Youth Deer License Question

    My son will be hunting in the NW MN early gun season in October. I went online to buy his license early as I threw away his last years tag but needed a current tag number so he could apply for a wolf license. When I pulled up the youth deer license options, the only dates available were the general gun season dates. Is there a special license for the early youth season or do they just buy a general license and use that for the early season as well?

    FWIW, I called the 800 number at the bottom of the license page. I gave the gal my whole scenario and she follows that up with. “what state are you in?” Ugh, never mind. -(
    I’m assuming the youth license is good for both so I just bought it. I will call my local CO in no one else knows.

    Sorry man, my kids aren’t old enough yet. Wish I could help.

    Might try the DNR help line vs. the license line. They outsource that obviously. What state?

    i hunted that last year, just get a youth firearms liscense.

    Yep just a regular youth license!
