Milwaukee Fishing Lake Michigan Salmon Report 9/16/2014
By Milwaukee Wisconsin fishing charter Captain Jim Hirt
Chinooks, Lake and Brown Trout Milwaukee!
Harbor fishing good for Brown Trout with a few Chinook. Spoons or crank baits best bait in the harbor. Badger Tackle Reaper or Vulcan spoons getting it done. To get my fish reports and how to videos first go to http://www.jimhirt.com By subscribing you will keep ahead of the other anglers. When I post you will get it fast by e-mail!
    How Chinook
Harbor Chinook are coming on Vulcan Magnum combinations of green/silver, all silver and blue/silver. My first choice is first light with magnum glow spoons. The Reaper or Vulcan glow spoons best when run 100 feet behind the downrigger ball and 6 feet down. The only place you will find Reaper and Vulcan spoons is on my web site at http://www.badgertackle.com
    How Lake Trout
Action out deep is slow. Try long lead spoons and SWR rigs 80 feet down. High lead cores are also a good choice. Best action has been in 70 feet and out to 170 feet
    Where!
Fish are mixed up and scattered. Cold water has driven the fish to shallow water one day and out deep the next. They can be caught on high presentations. Fish the entire water column in 25 to 160 feet of water for the best action. Our best speed was 2.0 to 2.2 mph measured at the ball with the Depth Raider.
Have a great fishing season. Jim charters out of Milwaukee, WI. with Blue Max Charters. He can be reached at 414-828-1094 or visit his web site at http://www.bluemaxcharters.com Copyright© 2014, James J. Hirt, All Rights Reserved.
