We are headed to the big pond for a loong weekend. If we get tired of looking for walleyes, where can we get into the Northern? Been up a few times, but never fished for anything other then the gators.

There were quite a few laying on the wrong side of the ice last winter. doah

You should be able to find some, but it’s definitely not the Mille Lacs it used to be. coffee

Don’t forget to pull a Dr. Spoon. The chrome and blue and chrome and chartreuse have worked best for me. Find the cabbage edges and you should find some fish.

I used to do very well with gold Dr. Spoons on Milly.

Yeah, after thinking about it the hammered gold/orange was also pretty good to me. There’s something about that Dr Spoon wiggle that gets them. My cousin is a die hard Daredevil guy and there were some days I was out fishing him 4/5 to 1 before he would suck up his pride and switch to a DR S. jester
