Buddy and I finishing up a 6X8 ice house which will be out on LOW. It is wood construction with styro wall/ceiling insulation. Looking for thoughts/recommendations on propane stove…don’t think we can afford to go the ventless route, but interested in thought/recommendations as to type/size, etc.

For something that relatively small in cubic feet and probably pretty well enclosed I would go for a Mr Heater buddy heater. The unit has a low oxygen sensor, but I would also augment with a battery operated carbon monoxide alarm. They are available at almost any hardware store and offer cheap additional insurance. CO will kill, so having a larger heater and windows slightly open or other ventilation is a must. Bottom line is be safe.

Ventless ARE the cheap ones, don’t do it. Any little one with a stovepipe is a better choice.
