    Looking for a converter to run coffee pot, scanner/printer/copier, laptop what size do I need and do you have any recommendations?

    I think; you want an inverter, 12 volt DC to 110 AC. A 2000 watt should do it. But with powering electronics like a computer or printer, you will want a sine wave inverter, they treat high end electronics better. Also, at 2000 Watts you will want to limit the number of appliances / gadgets you use at one time.

    Keep in mind the rating of an inverter is peak wattage. The inverter can’t sustain this load for very long so if you need 2000 watts you really need a 3000 watt inverter.

    Ok how do I figure out how many watts a appliance will need? I have not purchased the items in question yet.
