Nice day to play hooky. Launched out of Beanies and fished for a few hours until the wind drove us in. Even got to see BK on his birthday! Got a 34″ and a 32″ in about 30 FOW, bonus channel cat.

My first ever sturgeon. 47″. Lots of fun. I didn’t know fish could pull that hard.

Thanks to BK and the IDO contributors for the advice.

    I’ll definitely do it again….soon!

Someones got the bug to dance!! (said in a melodious voice)

Yes I do! I haven’t had much luck, but it is new and I really enjoy it. It takes me back to being a kid and spending my summers fishing the spillway and dam in North Hudson.

I look forward to my next chance… Hopefully one night next week.

snuck out for a few hrs friday morning.
got a 50″ within the first 5mins, before i even got my 2nd rod in the holder. then it was pretty slow couple hrs, with a handful of channels. moved around a lil bit and picked up 2 more a 45 and a 46″ jsut as we pulled anchor to head home

overall pretty slow outing but sure beats siting at the office.

    50″

thats a 9′ MH Salmon rod and about 25lbs of drag on a 50series reel

    46″

And here i was going to pull into your spot at 8am sunday. Didn’t see you there, and didn’t think it was because you were cold LOL. FIgured fish didn’t bite…And you didn’t tell me to drop anchor and join in on the fantastic bite at 2am…I see how it is! I put Brett & his wife on 3 PB’s saturday by telling him to drop anchor right next to me! 54, 59, 54.5

BTW, did you know what structure you were sitting on? I Have about a dozen side imaging waypoints of your spot. Huge pile of stuff there.

YOu put on a show saturday. Nice work! Huge fish there!!

I fished 3pm friday-3pm sunday; Pretty cold weekend.
Water temp dropped overall almost 10 degrees from friday through sunday. Night/Day bite difference from friday/saturday.
Suckers was the hot bait in my boat with a few going on shad or worms or a combo.
Caught 17 total and had quite a few come unbuckeled until i switch to all 8/0 hooks. 5/0’s were making me mad for a while there.

Before i got out of the truck at work today i said “Ok, 5 more days until i’m back sturgeon fishing! Sigh.”

    Heres my 56″

Some, not all and some may have been posted here before.

It was a fun filled adventurous season with the 1.2 hour boat rides and the Legend of Tuskahana.
