I was planning on it but the water upriver has changed my plans of camping all weekend.

I have a 3 week old baby at home. I’ll either be taking a nap or feeding the little rugrat.

I just came in for lunch. Was out trolling for cats this morning and am heading out again this afternoon. Picked up a fat 28 inch channel cat at 1030. Find the shad and the cats are there. Kind of fun to fish during the day.

I plan on being on the Croix but I can’t make myself give up on cats quite yet. I’ve still got another 25 days to make the King of the Cats top 5. All I need is two nice flatheads – to early to chase sturgeon.

    See you out there.

I didn’t either. My first one is due on Oct 4th.

Good thing it’ll be open year round next year.

Steve was there much for debris down there? Up around Osceola high and moving. Islands are under water or very close.

A few logs and sticks. If it gets much higher I can’t get under the Lift Bridge and I will have to wait for it to open. That is kind of a pain.

Ahhhh, but I did. I didn’t want a little papoose making it’s way into the world during deer hunting. Not only would that be a huge wet blanket on deer season this year, but the kid would insist on having his birthday party every year during deer season.

That definitely wouldn’t fly and I made it know to the wife in advance. I was prepared to go without lovin’ for a month to ensure we wouldn’t run into any snags.

If it gets much higher my tent will start floating towards the high bridge. Just looked at the gauge in Taylor falls and looks to have stopped climbing.

Yep. Se bks post about it. Year round except the spawn.

Made it out this morning and the bite was pretty good. Caught about 10-12. Nothing over 45″ though.
