My dad called and wants to spend 100-150 on myself for Christmas. He doesn’t shop and since my mother passed away he doesn’t know what to do, so he just wants us to pick out our own gift. I was thinking something for ice fishing, maybe a Otter Rod Box? Open for suggestions.

How about you tell him ice fishing weekend? Maybe go to Red Door on Mille Lacs. Spend a couple of quality days with him. You are old enough you don’t need him to buy you junk.
If it was me I would skip the otter and buy a double gun case and use the other $100 left over for something else.
Consider putting that money into a fishing trip that you both can enjoy.
I don’t know how you guys are with each other but I would say tell him to save the money and get out and do a trip of some kind together
Good idea, We are taking him to northern Mn with us fishing next summer. Maybe a second trip fishing with us, his Grandson and Great daughter in Rice Lake, WI next summer would fit the ticket!
